Pricing, usage and billing
ReadyBuyerFinder is free. You pay only what paid third-party services cost us, at cost, and only if you switch them on.
What is free
- Every feature, including agency client workspaces.
- The AI, which runs on Surge's own AI server.
- All public signal sources: startup news, SEC filings, global news, public job boards, company websites and Hacker News, plus your website pixel and CSV imports.
- The built-in email finder (name patterns plus mail-server checks).
Fair-use limits
To protect the shared AI server, each workspace can have up to 15 agents and up to 10,000 new leads a month, unless your Billing page shows other limits. A lead counts when it reaches your agent's minimum score for the first time. Leads below the threshold, duplicates and suppressed people don't count. The count resets on the 1st of each month (UTC).
When you reach the lead limit, agents pause and show "paused: allowance". Nothing is charged. They start again next month.
Paid services, at cost
Some data comes from paid providers: Hunter, Prospeo, Reoon, People Data Labs, TheirStack, the X API and IPinfo. If a workspace uses Claude as a fallback for the AI, Claude tokens are a paid service too.
These calls use Surge's accounts only when you turn on Use Surge's provider keys on the Billing page. It is off until you switch it on. While it is on:
- every call to a paid provider is recorded against your workspace
- the Usage table on Billing shows each service, how many units you used, our cost per unit and the total
- you pay exactly what the call cost us, with no markup
- a service marked "not priced yet" is shown but not charged
Switch it off any time. Calls then use your own keys, or the step is skipped.
Your own keys
Paste your own provider keys in Settings instead (data keys). Calls made with your keys go to your account with that provider and are never metered or charged by ReadyBuyerFinder. WhatsApp alerts and CRMs always use your own accounts.
Paying what you owe
When the Usage table shows a balance, pay it from Billing:
- India: in rupees through Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking).
- Everywhere else: in US dollars through Stripe.
Small balances roll over to the next month instead of being charged. Amounts exclude GST/VAT where it applies. Invoices are issued by Surge Software Solutions Private Limited.
Will pricing change?
We may add paid plans later. If we do, this page and the pricing page will say so first. See also refunds.
Monthly at-cost limit
Paid calls with Surge's keys can never run away. Set Billing → Monthly at-cost limit (default $5). Before each paid call we check what this month has cost so far; when the next call would pass the limit, it is skipped, the run carries on with free sources, the run log says "Skipped some paid calls: the monthly at-cost limit is reached", and we flag it once that month. Set it to $0 to block paid calls completely. Calls that are "not priced yet" are never charged, so they never count toward the limit.
Each agent page shows an estimate for the next run (average of the last three runs) and each run log shows the estimate next to the actual cost.
