Website visitors
See which companies visit your website
ReadyBuyerFinder is free; you pay third-party costs at cost. Add one line to your site and ReadyBuyerFinder identifies the company behind each visit from its IP address, in any country. It never tries to work out who an anonymous person is. A person is recorded only when they tell you, for example by filling in a form that calls ReadyBuyerFinder.identify(email).
What the pixel records
- The page URL and the referrer.
- An anonymous visitor id in a first-party cookie.
- The company behind the visitor's IP address, when our IP lookup knows it. Home broadband and mobile networks are ignored, because they say nothing about a company.
- An email address only when your page calls ReadyBuyerFinder.identify(email), typically after a form is filled in.
What happens next
- A visit from a company that fits your ICP becomes a website-visit signal: 12 intent points by default, plus 6 for hot pages such as /pricing or /demo.
- ReadyBuyerFinder adds the company's other signals (funding, hiring, new leaders), can find and verify a person there who matches your buyer personas, and writes a first message.
- The message never mentions the visit, tracking or how the lead was found.
- Optional: change headlines on your site for visiting companies by industry, country or name (company facts only, never a person).
Company-level vs person-level
Some tools name individual visitors. RB2B, for example, offers person-level identification (names and LinkedIn profile URLs) for US visitors only, with coverage it gives as 15-20%, or 35-45% on its Pro+ plan. Outside the US it gives company-level results.
| RB2B | ReadyBuyerFinder | |
|---|---|---|
| Company-level identification | Yes, outside the US too (free plan: 150 a month, to Slack) | Yes, every country |
| Person-level identification of anonymous visitors | US visitors only, on paid plans from $79/month | No, never |
| People who identify themselves | - | Yes, through ReadyBuyerFinder.identify(email) |
| Other buying signals and first messages | No | Yes |

Match rate
We don't publish a match rate. It depends on your traffic: visitors on an office network can be matched to a company; visitors on home broadband, mobile data or a VPN usually can't.
Cost
The company lookup uses IPinfo, a paid provider. With your own IPinfo key it is never metered by us; with Surge's key it is charged at cost (one lookup per new visitor), within your monthly at-cost limit.
